Orca Inlet is a part of Prince William Sound. The town of Cordova is located on the east side of the inlet. Views from the slopes above town, looking over the inlet to the surrounding mountains and islands inspired my very first paintings in Alaska, and continue to be my favorite scenes in 2012. In particular, I have used a small island called Little Mummy Island as a focal point in countless paintings of the dramatic light and weather of Orca Inlet.
