Paintings of antarctic landscape from all across Antarctica. Having spent over sixty months on the Ice, including four austral winters and six austral summers, David has created work from a variety of places and from every season. Time in Antarctica included travel as a participant in the National Science Foundation Antarctic Artist and Writer Program during a summer and a winter at McMurdo Station and most of a winter at Palmer Station. David also worked with the United States Antarctic Program for the National Scinece Fountation contractor for two winters and four summers in various job capacities as a way to spend time and become familiar with the landscape. David has done thousands of drawings and watercolor studies, and hundreds of oils studies and full size paintings of the antarctic scenery. This body of work can be considered an artistic record of climate change. David's work includes amazing iceberg paintings of antarctica Alaska and Greenland.
